Why Choose Complementary Therapies?
Complementary Health Therapies aims to restore balance to the body by not only stimulating all of the body’s myriad of constituents, but also by allowing the body to transition into parasympathetic mode which in turn allows the body to begin healing and regenerating.
Complementary Therapies may help you manage everyday stresses and challenges, such as stress, nutritional deficiencies and unhealthy lifestyles can all serve to disrupt our bodies, making it a breeding ground for illness, pain and chronic conditions.

Complementary Therapies are a series of holistic health & wellness practices that work alongside conventional (Western) medicine.

Common uses of complementary healthcare include improving quality of life for those living with chronic conditions or in palliative care; post-surgical care; and helping anxious patients to complete often expensive orthodox treatments and procedures that have unpleasant side effects, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Working alongside conventional medicine, complementary healthcare methods are often used to help support the body’s natural self-healing mechanisms, to ease or alter a patient’s perception of pain, and to support patients through periods of anxiety and fear, associated with their illness.

People with chronic or life-limiting conditions such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, mental health problems, weight problems, musculoskeletal problems, or a history of substance misuse, can be greatly supported using complementary health therapies alongside conventional care.

With the intention to help to empower an individual to manage and cope with their condition and its associated symptoms. Some therapies may also help to prevent conditions or symptoms from escalating. The principal purpose of most complementary therapies is to produce a therapeutic effect additional to that offered by other medical or pharmacological interventions.

A range of body & mind therapies for natural health & wellbeing

Duopody Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-intrusive touch therapy based on the principle that different zones & reflexes points on the feet, hands, face and ears, which relate to the internal organs, glands and other structures of the body. Duopody works both feet together at the same time, stabilising our energy and diverts our mentally overactive energy back to our feet, helping us to become more "grounded".

CALM & Chakra Balancing Reflexology
Aims of Chakra Balancing Reflexology is to balance all of the chakras in the body so that every organ, gland, and tissue functions correctly on an energetic level by working the chakra relax points as well as the endocrine, lymphatic and nervous system reflex points on the feet.

Orthopody & Sportsflex
Specialist form of Reflexology that aims to assist the rebalancing of Musculo-Skeletal integrity via Muscle Chains and Fascia which may have been compromised and impacted by issues such as trauma & injury, from exercise, sport or a fall, but also from postural habits and mobility issues.

Reflexology
For Children & Teens
I would recommend a 30 minute treatment for primary school aged children, and a 60 minute treatment for senior school aged children. T with the aim to engage the parasympathetic nervous system which allows stressed-out teens to slip into a very deep, almost hypnotic state of relaxation. Reflexology is a perfect way to alleviate pre GCSE and A Level stress, leading to a calmer family environment for everyone to enjoy.

Holistic Facial
Holistic Facial is a wonderful way to relax and promote a sense of wellbeing, also improve the texture of your skin, increase circulation and encourage rejuvenation and cellular activity. Using holistic techniques and natural facial products, can give fantastic results and can be achieved naturally.

Reiki Energy Healing
Reiki, meaning Universal Life Force, works on a physical, emotional and spiritual level to restore our energy balance and promote holistic health. Reiki therapy flows into the body, reaching the areas that need support, soothing pain and helping the body’s natural healing process. Think of it as charging the body’s energy battery.

Facial Cupping
Facial Cupping uses silicone suction cups to stimulate your skin and muscles on your face, neck & décolletage. The suction promotes increased blood circulation, which may help relieve muscle tension, promote cell repair, and aid in other regeneration. It’s also said to improve the flow of Qi.

Thai Foot Massage
Thai foot massage techniques are aimed at detoxify and purifying the body, helping to relieve stress and tension, decrease fatigue, foster good health and mental serenity and restore balance. It works on the feet, lower leg, and knees, freeing up blocked energy in the body’s Thai-based meridians to create a feeling of deep relaxation, balance, and wellbeing.

Pregnancy Reflexology
Pregnancy and childbirth can be a wonderful experience however it can also be very emotional. The fluctuation in hormones can increase anxiety and the physical changes can leave women feeling exhausted. Reflexology can help support women through these physical and emotional changes. Reflexology during pregnancy tries to encourage relaxation, reduce anxiety, reduce feelings of stress and improve sleep. It may also provide relief to many physical symptoms experienced in the second and third trimester.

Reflexology For Menopause
A wonderful therapy to help women in their journey through the menopause. Reflexology will help to regulate the peripheral nervous system, by stimulating the pituitary gland, hypothalamus and thymus reflex points. This helps to make hormonal changes more bearable and relieve the stress and tension that can cause so many side effects.

Warm Bamboo Massage
Warm bamboo massage uses solid bamboo sticks of different lengths and diameters to massage the body. The sticks are gently warmed and applied to give deep and long massage strokes to break down tension and stretch tight muscles. It will leaves you feeling relaxed and energised and with a sense that your muscles have been stretched, warmed and elongated.
